Here’s the next installment featuring one of our regular local wedding venues – Bunchrew House, which is located just 3 miles from Inverness city centre. We shot Aimi & Keith’s wedding there on the 26th of last month, so thought this would be a good time to add a slide-show of a selection of weddings we’ve done there.
Please Note: All the clients featured in this slide-show, had their ceremonies and receptions at Bunchrew House.
At the wedding fair on the 3rd April, we heard a lot of very enthusiastic comments on a stunning display product we had on our table. So we thought it was probably a good idea to show you all in case you haven’t seen it before. It’s called a Glacier Block, and consists of a special print mounted to the back of a 30mm acrylic block and comes presented in an attractive black box. It is a very stylish and eye-catching way to display a favourite photograph on a mantlepiece or desk etc. At the moment, we offer the product (either upright or landscape) in two sizes: 8×6 = £90 , and 10×8 = £100. Hopefully these snaps I took, do it justice. BTW, the photo is of one of our clients (Linda) during a bump shoot. Soon afterwards she had a beautiful son that they named Conor.
Just a quick post to let you all know that we will be exhibiting at the Highland Wedding Fair this Sunday (3rd April) at the Eden Court Theatre in Inverness. The doors open at 12pm and we’ll be there until 4pm.
We look forward to meeting you.
BTW, the picture is of Ali and I exhibiting there in January last year. Oh, dear!
Occasionally we get asked by clients to show them photographs taken at a specific wedding reception venue. And since we cover a number of weddings at the same venues each year, we thought it might be a good idea to create a slide-show featuring each of them. So our top 5 most frequently visited reception venues are:
Achnagairn House (Inverness-shire) didn’t quite make the top 5, but is getting increasingly popular.
The most recent request we had was for the Newton Hotel – and since we have two bookings there this summer, we thought it might be a good place to start. So this is for Sarah & Niall who are planning on getting married there in 2012 – and anyone else who is interested. Slide-shows of the other venues will follow throughout the year.
Please Note: The clients featured in this slide-show all had their receptions at the Newton Hotel, though not all had their ceremonies there. Some pictures were taken at nearby churches and other outdoor locations.
As our first wedding of 2011 is almost upon us, we thought you’d like to see a selection of images from weddings we covered in 2010.
For those of you who are new (or considering booking) Rapture Photography, these images were chosen mainly because they represent our style of wedding photography which is typically relaxed and unobtrusive to get the full story and emotion of the wedding day, but also includes a number of semi-staged and creative images for added impact.
We just wanted to say a massive thank you to all those people who hired Rapture Photography to take their photographs last year. We had a wonderful year, and met some amazing people. We wish you all the best for 2011.
This year, we look forward to meeting and working with many more fantastic people, learning lots, being creative - and of course – enjoying life!

Welcome to our new Blog.
Spring certainly looks a long way off today. The two photo’s attached to this post were taken this morning on the Black Isle (just a couple of miles south of us). The image at the top is facing east with part of the Cromarty Bridge in the right forground.
Back to business. Our plan for the Blog is to keep you (past, booked and prospective clients … & friends & colleagues!) informed about what we’re up to in a more immediate and intimate way. This may include chatting about and posting images from recent jobs, news about upcoming events like wedding fayres, training etc., and of course info about new products/services or special offers. We will also share stuff about personal photography projects, and chat about weddings and photography related news and events, and possibly give a shout-out to other good suppliers that we’ve got to know.
Hopefully we can encourage some collaboration from you too – and this will probably work best through the Rapture Photography Facebook page. So if you have any questions, ideas, or anything you would like us to cover that is wedding or photography related, please feel free to get in touch.
